The starting point of this video installation is an interview focusing on the psychology of a young woman. She shares her experiences of anxiety and disorientation, her sense of losing control, and experiencing psychological splitting. She also discusses her fears of being observed and scorned by others. Utilizing brief segments of found footage, the installation aims to depict her psychological condition, serving as a portrayal of the fears and uncertainties inherent to the human condition that we all face. By presenting two or more fragments side by side, which exhibit visual analogies and resemblances, the segments begin to interact with each other. This interaction evokes and illustrates the analogical, and thus metaphorical nature of our thought processes. The depiction of scientists highlights the underlying power dynamics in psychological practice. The erroneous assertion of objective truth, along with a perceived infallibility, forms the basis for creating power hierarchies within therapeutic relationships. These dynamics have the potential to dehumanize and invalidate individuals.

This video-installation utilizes the metaphor of fermentation to initiate a philosophical reflection on the essence and limits of knowledge, the ontology of unobservable phenomena, and the role of concepts and frameworks in shaping our comprehension of the world and inner self transformation. It also explores how these elements contribute to the establishment of power structures.
